Mr Landon Pant's Birthday Party!!!

Today we had Landon's Birthday Party at Skate City! I'll tell you there is nothing like fourteen 5-6 year old's on roller skates! Everyone had a blast! Even those who had never roller skated before caught on pretty quick with the help of some tighten wheels. Landon has decided that he loves to skate this summer and was so excited to get the new pair of roller skate they give the Birthday Boy! We ate pizza cake and ice cream. The kids did the Hokey Pokey and the Limbo in roller skates. Landon won the red light green light race and got a free icee. Aaron was bummed about his new cast but $5 for the arcade changed his mind quickly! It was a great party and Mom didn't have to clean up after which makes it even better!

OOPS it is Broken!

On Saturday night we thought we'd brake in a new babysitter and go see The Black Knight. About 20 minutes before the movie started we get a call from home from a very troubled Aaron. He jumped out of the swing and landed on his arm. The sitter said that it was swollen pretty bad but nothing too bad or so we thought. I mean who break their arm jumping out of a swing right?Just give him an ice pack and Ibuprofen we didn't want to miss our movie. The next morning is was still double the regular size so we made him a sling out of a towel and dope him up for the day. By the time we got into see the Doctor on Monday afternoon it had been 45 hours since the accident and still swollen. He of broke it right at his elbow. He sure took it well for that long. Now he's sporting a new blue cast just in time for school!

DANGER DANGER 2 Year Old Loose!!!

We are going to change his middle name to TROUBLE! Look how cute and innocent he looks with his new friend the steam cleaner. This week for some reason my sweet little boy has lost his mind. He has dumped 2 bags of goldfish, one bag of Chinese noodles, one container of salt, a bottle of baby oil and a very large bottle of bubble bath on the floor, toys, couch you name it. Maybe the floor looked too clean who knows. When asked why he just says "don't know" followed by a "no timeout"! Friday he took the bottle of baby oil and sprayed it all over the toy room. Luckily on plastic toys that could be washed and not a drop on the carpet but plenty down the vent. So if it stinks when the heat turns on this winter Sorry. Today as we were getting ready to head for church I rounded the corner to find a whole bottle of Bubble Bath poured on the stairs. Jason spent the next 3 hours cleaning it which proved to be difficult with all the bubbles. So after some investigating he read that salt would stop the bubbles. After filling the steam cleaner with salt water he left the salt container on the counter. Only to find 5 minutes later the kitchen covered in salt! I guess we'll have to keep him tied to us from now on. Good thing he's pretty cute!

Happy Birthday Landon

Today is Landon's 6th Birthday! We spent the day hanging around and he played outside with the neighbors. We asked Landon what he wanted to do for his birthday and he wanted to go to the movies and get a kids box (you know the super expensive miniature popcorn, drink and candy). So off we went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. Loaded with popcorn, candy drinks and 3D glasses all of us enjoyed the movie. We then got dinner at Panera and off to Game Stop to use his gift card from Grandma Nancy and Aunt Kate. His new game, Boom Blox, in hand he was ready for the rest of his presents. He got an awesome red scooter from Grandma Robin and Aunt Kristen, a parachute guy launcher from Dylan, a Lego jeep and speed boat from Aaron and a huge Batman and Joker Lego set from Mom and Dad! Jackpot!!! And now Mom has Lego's all over the house! Next Tuesday we are having his friend party at Skate City. We'll see how twelve 5 and 6 year olds do on skates!

Trip to Utah

We just got home from our annual summer trip to Utah. It started out somber as we were lucky enough to go to our friends funeral. Jason drove over with us and then flew back on Sunday. The funeral was Saturday Morning and as far as funerals go it was good. It was nice hearing the stories from friends and family. After it was over we head to Lehi to stay with Sherry and Papa Ryan for the night. We had a BBQ and had some quality hanging out time with our much missed Colorado now Utah Fam. Now I grew up in Utah and I don't remember it being this hot. Maybe kids don't feel temperature like us old people. The week was just a little warm. We visit some of our favorite places, most of them involving water (as to not die from the heat)! We went to Wheeler Farm to see the animals and play in the canals. We went to the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point and played in the fountains with our friends the Fenn's and Martindale's. I got to go to the American Idol Concert with one of my oldest and dearest friends Tami. We had a blast. I was out numbered in the home town of the archie fans cheering for David Cook. The girls hardly stopped screaming for Archuleta making it very hard to hear him sing. We went to Seven Peaks and chilled in the wave pool with Grandma and Aunt Kristen. Liberty park to see the 7 canyons water area with our long lost Colorado friends the Bee's. We even went to Classic Skating and Water Slides in Sandy, which brought back many memories for mom. I still can't believe that place is still there and kicking. All in all we were exhausted when it came time for the drive home but had loads of summer fun!

Summer Skating Fun

My kids have decided that they love to skate. We have been to Skate City a few times this summer and they are getting pretty good. This last time we took Ammon and Halle with us. They all had a great time, even Halle who's only 3! Were going to have Landon's Birthday Party there in a few weeks.

Our Dear Friend Teryn

Today we found out that our dear friend Teryn died last week. Jason has known him since he was in 2nd grade. He was one of the kindest most generous people that I have ever met. Since we moved to Colorado 9 years ago and he moved to New Jersey 5 years ago our visit have been few and far in between. But we will never forget him and his contagious laugh and spirit. We were lucky enough last September to go to NYC for our 10 year anniversary and spend some time with him and his beautiful family. A day in NYC was always funner with Teryn as your guide. We went on the Staten Island Ferry, the 911 site, the Empire State Building and Washington Square Park. Ate lunch at some crazy organic sandwich board place ( who knows what it really was) and all survived. Did some shopping in Times Square, went to some crazy expensive Italian restaurant where we talked some business and wrote dinner off to his company. Ended the perfect day by Seeing Curtains on Broadway. It's hard to believe that it was our last time seeing our friend in this world. How grateful we are for the atonement and the knowledge that we will see him again some day. We send his wife Xenia and his beautiful daughter Alexis our love support always. We love you Teryn!

The North Pole

My kids love rides, all rides. Since they are still too little to do a lot at Elitch Gardens we went to the North Pole. They love it! We went with the Hoffman's and the kids were immediately off and running to the candy cane slide. They all ran from ride to ride having a ball. Our husbands were surprised to find that the North Pole was really a frozen pole in the middle of the park. Who knew all this time they never believed the kids. The only downer was when we got to the top of the park the Scrambler was closed (Karen and I will have to wait for the fair for that one). Even little Jaxon got a few rides in. It was a wonderful end to our long weekend.

Happy 4th of July!!!

We have always loved the 4th of July but this was our first without any family around (thanks Sherry and Ryan). We started the day at the ward Breakfast and Parade. We spent the morning decorating the boys bikes and bringing back fond memories of when we where kids and did the same thing. Dylan thought it was great to be taking his Diego Ride-on to church. We spent the morning talking to friends and hanging out. The kids thought the parade was loads of fun as the big boys lapped the church and Dylan was good to get half way around. The afternoon was spent just lounging around followed by the much needed nap after our so busy morning. That evening we went to the SKY SOX game with our friends the Hoffman's. The kids really enjoyed the game. Aaron even got a baseball. The evening ended with the Firework show. It's great to be sitting right under them. Dylan made Jason cover his ears. Landon fell asleep as the 1st fireworks were starting and then asked why we weren't staying for them when we woke him up to leave. What a wonderful day! Happy 4th of July!!!

Aaron's Baptism!!!

Can you believe it? My little boy is eight. Well he's not so little anymore. We had a very crazy and exciting weekend. It all started with 2 baseball games and few trips to the airport. Thursday night both Aaron and Landon had baseball games plus we were suppose to pick up Grandma Robin and Aunt Kristen at the airport. So after some shuffling and pawning off of kids we all got to the right places. Friday morning Grandma Nancy came in from Arizona (glad to be away from the 110 Heat). We all went to see Wall -E-, which was great. Nothing like starting a long weekend with soda, buttered popcorn and lots of sugar! Later that night Grandpa John arrived from Seattle and Papa Ryan arrived from Utah. Now we had our crazy and full house. Saturday Morning the Baptism was at 10:00am. We had 3 other kids in our ward getting baptised and a full chapel. We had lots of wonderful friends come for the event included were the Moore's, Strickenberger's, Hoffman's, Johnson's and the Porter's. They had forgotten to put the drain in so when the font was found empty an hour before people were to come they filled it with the only water left COLD WATER! Even the attempt to boil pans of water in the kitchen were fruitless. So when Brother Porter said they were going to get baptised in water like the river's he used on his mission he meant it. Poor Aaron's face let us know how cold the water was. But at least it was quick. It was such a neat and spiritual experience to have my wonderful husband baptise our first son and we will look forward to the next one in 2 years! The weekend continued with family game nights and lots of memories. After several trips to the airport our house was empty again on Tuesday night. Thanks everyone for making the long trip and come back soon!

The Birth of the Bullock Family Blog!!!

After several people giving me a hard time about not having a blog we are gonna give it a try. For some reason the whole layout thing seems confusing and who knows how to add pictures but here we go.
