SNOW DAY!

You would think since we live in Colorado we would get a lot of snow but we've learned that is not always the case. Some winters we get dumped on all winter long and some winters we are lucky to get enough to play in. The boys were so excited to get enough to actually play in over Thanksgiving! Jason got his first chance to rev the snow blower up. Even Chewie liked to bounce around in the snow even though the snow just about covered him. Nothing like a good snow day!

BYU vs Airforce! GO BYU GO!!!

Thanks to our friends the Pollary's we were able to score some awesome seats to the BYU/Airforce game this past Saturday. The Boys were so exited to go to a real football game. Then sitting 10 rows back they were in heaven. Lucky for us it turned out to be alright weather for the 15th of November. Also we were sitting on the right side of the stadium and didn't loose the sun till 4th quarter. The kids loved watch the Airforce cadets parachute onto the field. Being close enough to see Cosmo and the cheerleaders. The had a great time! It was an awesome game with BYU winning 38-24! Go BYU!!!

Our Newest Addition!!!

Last week Jason took the kids in the pet store and they found the cutest little puppy. Then mean Mom said we aren't getting another puppy remember what happened last time? The boys including Jason proceeding to whine about wanting a puppy all week. Aaron even asked if Santa could bring a puppy if he asked. So yesterday we found ourselves at the mall getting Aaron's glasses fixed and they sucked me in. The one Jason liked from the previous week was gone but sure enough there was two other cute ones marked down like crazy because they were getting old at 5 months. So home came our new little puppy Chewie! Named after Chewbacca not because he is a chewer. He is a long red haired Dachshund. He is super cuddly and so very scared of the boys. I mean look and those crazy boys who wouldn't be. I'm now just hoping that he will potty train easily and that he will be a good new addition to our family! Dylan thinks we got him to watch TV with him. He always want him in his lap.

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween started for us on the 30th with the Church Halloween carnival. We had a Yellow Ninja, Jack Sparrow and Buzz Lightyear! The kids got to play games, go on a cake walk and then go trunk or treating in the parking lot. It was beautiful weather for once in our life's. Usually it's 20 degrees with snow or sleet or ice and sometimes all of the above. But today the high hit like 68 so come night fall it was actually warm. For the first time ever we wore costumes without coats and truck or treated without running through the parking lot in record time. The kids had fun seeing all their friends and came home with huge bags of candy and Halloween had not even really started. Lucky Kids! The next morning the kids wore their costumes to school for the Halloween parties. I took Dylan trick or Treating at Walmart with a group of girls in my ward.(Bag of Candy #2) Then it was off to his party at My Gym. We then headed to the school to help with the older boys school parties. One big day of many parties and junk food and the official trick or treating hadn't even started. That evening Dad stayed home and passed out the candy while I took the boys around the neighborhood with Dylan's friend Alex. This was the first year that any of them actually went door to door. How sad Aaron's is 8! But usually it's the neighbor's then home because it's too cold. We had a lot of fun! Now on with November! Where does the time go!

Our Baby Turning 3!!!!

I guess we shouldn't call him a baby any more. But he is my baby. Dylan had a very eventful birthday. He first got to go to his My Gym class. He got to use the zip line for the first time and was very excited. Next he had his Birthday Party at the mall. He had 3 of his favorite friends come Jared , Halle and Cassidy. They all got Happy Meals from McDonald's and had lunch together. We had cupcakes and opened presents. Halle gave him a Diego Dinosaur glider, Jared a Walle dish set and Cassidy a Transformer. Next it was off to Build a Bear. The two boys picked out Monkeys and the two girls picked Bunnys. They had a lot of fun stuffing, brushing and dressing their animals. Since it was a Monday afternoon there was no one there. They had the whole store to themselves. Hugs where given and on the day went. We waited till the big boys got home form school and then we went to Target so Dylan could use his birthday money from Grandma Nancy. He picked out a Cars spiral raceway and 2 new cars that we had been looking for Chucki and Kathy Copter. Then it was off to Chucky Cheese for the final celebration of the day. His friend Alex came from across the street since she couldn't make it to Build a Bear. They had so much fun riding the rides and playing games. He got a Baby Jaguar stuffed animal from Aaron and Landon and a Diego Rescue Center from Mom and Dad! At the end of the day Dylan said this is the best day ever can it be my birthday tomorrow again! Nice try buddy but you'll have to wait another year! Happy 3rd Birthday!!!!

Disneyland We miss you already!

The Kids had 2 weeks off for Fall Break so we went to California with our good friends the Hoffman's. We had so much fun! We left on Saturday October 4th for Sunny L.A. With friends to occupy the kids and 4 adults the plane ride was a breeze. We were going to go to Disneyland on our 1st day but thanks to Miley Cyrus 16th Birthday Party they were closing early so we headed to Universal Studio's. It was a beautiful day and we got to see a lot of neat things. Landon's favorite ride was the Simpson's which was a pretty cool simulated roller coaster. Aaron liked the Mummy which was an inside roller coaster mostly in the dark that shot you forwards then backwards. Dylan, Halle and Jaxon were too little to ride most of the rides but loved the ball playground.

The next morning we were off to Disneyland! We went straight to the Nemo ride. All Dylan cared about was seeing Nemo. We spent the day hanging out with Grandma Robin and Aunt Kristen. The kids loved all the rides and we had a wonderful time. Landon was so happy that he could go on Space Mountain. He even got to ride on Indian Jones with the help of his mom rolling up some socks and stuffing them in his shoes! He was only really like a 1/4 maybe a 1/2 inch off what would be the harm! It was probably good that Dylan was not tall enough to ride the bigger rides. He was scared of the Matterhorn. But sure got a lot of rides on Winnie the Pooh!

The next day we spent at California Adventures. The kids had now all gotten the hang of the lines and the rides and had a great day. Aaron loved the California Screaming Roller Coaster. It was his first ever with a loop. We all loved the new Toy Story Mania Ride! We spent the day with Jeff, Karen and the kids so all was happy with a riding buddy! Jason and Jeff had fun talking pictures of themselves doing silly things!

We our last day in L.A back at Disneyland! We started the morning with Breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. The food was great even though I doubt I ate $26 worth of it! But Hey what is vacation for! Dylan was actually not scared of the characters which was wonderful. The kids had Hot Dogs and Cake for breakfast but Hey we were living it up! We had a great day even with the record breaking heat of 97. The lines were all pretty short and we got a ton of rides in. The boys probably rode Space Mountain 6 times, Thunder Mountain 4 times and Splash Mountain 3 times. Farewell to Disney again for another year or two!

Thursday morning we headed to the beach! of course after 3 days of 9o degree weather it was overcast and 70 for the beach. The kids had a blast! They all love the beach. No one is scared of the water so it was great. The kids built castles and towers. Halle and Dylan ran to and from the water for hours filling up their buckets. Jaxon was content to wander happy to be out of the stroller! Karen and I got to spend a majority of the time sitting and enjoying watching the kids. We left the water play to the Dad's! After 4 hours of bliss we headed to the car for the drive to San Diego!

The weather was nice and cool in San Diego. Friday morning we went to Sea World. The kids loved running around and seeing all the animals. They did wonder where all the rides were (go figure) But after figuring out there weren't any they had a blast. As the day ended it was hard to believe that in the morning our trip would be ending. Saturday before we headed back to the airport. We took the kids to La Jolla to Seal Beach. The kids loved seeing all the seals right there on the beach. it was too cold for the water plus the trip home with sand would not be fun! Off the the airport we go. Back to freezing cold Colorado. Farewell to California for another year or two!!! Thanks for the fun Grandma, Kristen and the Hoffman's!!!!

Happy 11th Anniversary

WOW 11 years! Thanks to our friends Jeff and Karen, Jason and I got to have a weekend to ourselves. We dropped the kids off nice and early and went to the Temple. After we went shopping. How nice it is without 3 wild boys in tow. We had a nice Dinner and went to the Rockies Game. We had awesome seats straight back from home plate. The night was beautiful but the poor Rockies lost to those dang Diamondbacks! We stayed in Denver at a hotel where we got to sleep in a bit! How wonderful! We did unfortunately have to pick up the kids to get to church for the primary program. But next time I think we'll leave them for few days instead of 24 hours. But it was a great Anniversary! Thanks Jeff and Karen! We love you.

Dylan's Class at My Gym!

Not much has been going on since school started. To keep busy I put Dylan in a class at "My Gym" with his best little buddy Halle. They are loving it. He thinks that he is such a big boy now. As he really is. It's hard to believe that he is almost 3! He tells his brothers that he "gets to go to his class" when they go to school. He's so proud of being able to walk on the Balance Beam and he loves to flip on the Bars! He has class once a week for an hour and we try to take him one other time a week to play. Still it's hard for him to be with just mom ALL DAY LONG!

Last Sky Sox game of the year!

Since the boys have been playing baseball this year they have been really into it. They all got free tickets to the Sky Sox's from the reading program over the summer. So we decided to save them for the last game of the year. It had been pouring rain every night for the last week so we crossed our fingers. We had scouts before the game so we were running a little late. But the weather was beautiful. Nice and cool but no rain or wind! Everyone had a great time and hey the Sky Sox's even won! Farewell until next year. Now I just listen to Dylan say every time we drive by the stadium " Look Mom Sky Sox's all over! Maybe next year!"

1st Day of School!!

The Boys were actually pretty excited to go back to school. We went the other night and met their teachers. Aaron is going into 3rd grade and has Mr Long who seems really nice. He was glad to find out that he knows at least 7 people in his classes. So he'll be surrounded with friends. Landon in going to 1st grade and is so excited to stay all day and have lunch at school. There was actually no complaining this mornign even though it was early. We drove down to the school and then walked to find their classes carrying their school supplies ( i swear they weighed 30 pounds). Dylan was so said when he realised that he didn't get to stay too. It's just him and mom from now on all day long (how boring!). I took him to Chick-Fil-A to soften the blow of no playmates and then to meet his friends Cassidy and Halle at the park. But boy it was quiet today! I guess I should get used to it!

Last Day of Summer!!!

Can you believe that summer is over. Tomorrow is the 1st day of school. Yeah for Mom! We wanted to do something fun but our choices are limited with Aaron's cast so we went to the Zoo! It was a beautiful day at 78 degrees. We went with Karen and the kids and had loads of fun. The kids got to feed the giraffes which is always their favorite part. We actually got to see a lot of the animals. They have a new Mountain Lion exhibit which was cool. He was right up front for all to see. The baby Orangutan was swinging all over the place which is always fun. Landon's favorite thing is always the Hippo's and she even came out of the water just for him! A perfect last day of summer ended with a long rain storm. It's always easier to go back to school if it's raining right. I just hope they can get up that early every morning!

Library Party at Memorial Park!

Every year the kids look forward to the Library Party at the park but boy was it hot today! Good thing it was early and there were a lot of trees. We went with Karen, Ammon, Halle and Jaxon. Dylan didn't care about anything but getting to the Helicopter. Of course he thought he was going to get to fly in it. But well take sitting in it! They also got to sit on the Police Motorcycle, in the back of the Police Car, walk through the Ambulance and climb up into a huge Tractor. They got their faces painted with huge spiders and a sun with sunglasses for Halle. The made hats and got to touch all sorts of creepy spiders, snakes and lizards! Fun was had by all! The highlight of the trip was getting to watch the Helicopter take off. Count down to school is now official on! Now if we can just get through this Heat! Ugh it's gonna hit 100 today!

Mr Landon Pant's Birthday Party!!!

Today we had Landon's Birthday Party at Skate City! I'll tell you there is nothing like fourteen 5-6 year old's on roller skates! Everyone had a blast! Even those who had never roller skated before caught on pretty quick with the help of some tighten wheels. Landon has decided that he loves to skate this summer and was so excited to get the new pair of roller skate they give the Birthday Boy! We ate pizza cake and ice cream. The kids did the Hokey Pokey and the Limbo in roller skates. Landon won the red light green light race and got a free icee. Aaron was bummed about his new cast but $5 for the arcade changed his mind quickly! It was a great party and Mom didn't have to clean up after which makes it even better!

OOPS it is Broken!

On Saturday night we thought we'd brake in a new babysitter and go see The Black Knight. About 20 minutes before the movie started we get a call from home from a very troubled Aaron. He jumped out of the swing and landed on his arm. The sitter said that it was swollen pretty bad but nothing too bad or so we thought. I mean who break their arm jumping out of a swing right?Just give him an ice pack and Ibuprofen we didn't want to miss our movie. The next morning is was still double the regular size so we made him a sling out of a towel and dope him up for the day. By the time we got into see the Doctor on Monday afternoon it had been 45 hours since the accident and still swollen. He of broke it right at his elbow. He sure took it well for that long. Now he's sporting a new blue cast just in time for school!

DANGER DANGER 2 Year Old Loose!!!

We are going to change his middle name to TROUBLE! Look how cute and innocent he looks with his new friend the steam cleaner. This week for some reason my sweet little boy has lost his mind. He has dumped 2 bags of goldfish, one bag of Chinese noodles, one container of salt, a bottle of baby oil and a very large bottle of bubble bath on the floor, toys, couch you name it. Maybe the floor looked too clean who knows. When asked why he just says "don't know" followed by a "no timeout"! Friday he took the bottle of baby oil and sprayed it all over the toy room. Luckily on plastic toys that could be washed and not a drop on the carpet but plenty down the vent. So if it stinks when the heat turns on this winter Sorry. Today as we were getting ready to head for church I rounded the corner to find a whole bottle of Bubble Bath poured on the stairs. Jason spent the next 3 hours cleaning it which proved to be difficult with all the bubbles. So after some investigating he read that salt would stop the bubbles. After filling the steam cleaner with salt water he left the salt container on the counter. Only to find 5 minutes later the kitchen covered in salt! I guess we'll have to keep him tied to us from now on. Good thing he's pretty cute!

Happy Birthday Landon

Today is Landon's 6th Birthday! We spent the day hanging around and he played outside with the neighbors. We asked Landon what he wanted to do for his birthday and he wanted to go to the movies and get a kids box (you know the super expensive miniature popcorn, drink and candy). So off we went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. Loaded with popcorn, candy drinks and 3D glasses all of us enjoyed the movie. We then got dinner at Panera and off to Game Stop to use his gift card from Grandma Nancy and Aunt Kate. His new game, Boom Blox, in hand he was ready for the rest of his presents. He got an awesome red scooter from Grandma Robin and Aunt Kristen, a parachute guy launcher from Dylan, a Lego jeep and speed boat from Aaron and a huge Batman and Joker Lego set from Mom and Dad! Jackpot!!! And now Mom has Lego's all over the house! Next Tuesday we are having his friend party at Skate City. We'll see how twelve 5 and 6 year olds do on skates!
